This fictional story is about a corporate guy who works for a company where he has no idea what really goes on there. That is, until they find out he has a large inheritance coming...
The heat shimmered off the rooftop of the Metroplex rooftop as Dale ordered a spicey latte for his friend and longtime co-worker, David. They have worked together for six years, but today would prove to be unlike any other as Dale was still processing the loss of his uncle. During their break, Dale hesitantly reveals that he is set to get a very large inheritance soon but is not sure what he is going to do with it. As David's interest visibly rises in the moment, Dale quickly notes, "I need to take this slowly. it's all happening so fast." "I hear what you're saying," David leans in to reply, "But what kind of pay-out we talking about here... big, very big, enormous?" Dale cautiously sips his coffee, and after a brief pause proclaims, “It will be enough to buy the tallest building in town!” David's eyes widen like the sun setting across the skyline. David's expression shifts slightly as Dale adds, "You know, I did just lose my uncle." Looking uncomfortable, David awkwardly replies, "At least you'll be able to move on and live like the king of Argon!" Later that day, David strolls over to Dale's desk to entertain some small talk, and then, "Got any big plans yet?" Dale replies, "Any plans would come later. I have a project to complete." He didn't want sudden wealth to disrupt the routine he'd work hard to perfect. But David remained undeterred. "I get it," David meandered, "You just want to let your money work for you in the long run." Dale replies, "Exactly", as David chirps, "Have you thought about investing a sizable chunk of that for the future of your family?" Dale coughs, "Yes, but I have no idea to handle that kind of money," as moves some papers around. David confidently says, "If you get into something reliable, the money could move at your own pace which would be great." Dale replies, "I recall you mentioning an investment you made in the past. What was that like?" David informs, “I had someone in our company refer me to Star Reacher Development when I came to work in the Metroplex. SRD's founder, Casper Aurelius, has perfected the Spiral Sky Method, a proprietary money generation plan that grows as the company grows.” Dale ends with, "That sounds fantastic, tell me more about it later.” David agrees, "Well, it's time for me to wrap things up for the day. I'll talk to you later."
